The Seven Chair (SERIES 7) was released in 1955 as the successor to the Ant Chair. The seat is made of nine thin layers of laminated plywood, sandwiched between beautiful wood-grained boards on the outside, with the horizontal and vertical grains aligned for optimal strength. The front of the Seven Chair (colored ash finish, deep clay) is upholstered in Christianshavn (beige 1121), and the fabric upholstery significantly improves seating comfort.
