Jean Prouvé, a French designer, architect, and engineer, designed the EM Table for Maison Tropicale in 1950. This table was designed based on his structural philosophy, and its philosophy is reflected in every detail. The sloping legs are connected to a bar running along the bottom of the tabletop, allowing the weight of the tabletop to be released to the floor.
