The Potence wall light, created in the early 1940s, is considered one of the masterpieces of functionalist design. Elegant and striking, this light fixture features a simple design of a light bulb attached to a swinging steel arm supported by wires. The Vitra Design Museum archives hold several versions of the Potence, including a smaller version known as the Petite Potence, which has been reissued by Vitra after extensive analysis.
