It was the father of current owner Lars Werner who started making the "Shoemaker Chair" in the early 1970s. The history of this three-legged stool dates back to the 15th century, and although its shape has changed slightly over the centuries, it was used as a stool with a flat seat for milking cows. Eventually, a shoemaker carved it to fit the shape of his buttocks to make it more comfortable to sit on, and this inspired the current shape. The seat is shaped like a buttocks, so you won't get tired even if you sit for a long time, and the three legs make it less likely to wobble. Source: https://www.sempre.jp/
