This chair was designed by Tadao Ando in 1985 for Mon Petit Choux, a cafe restaurant in Shimogamo, Kyoto. The form is simple, with stainless steel parts with integrated armrests and backrest inserted into an iron stool. Finishing the parts without damaging them requires a high level of craftsmanship. The seat is low and the reproduction version is well cushioned, making it comfortable to sit on and suitable for everyday use. It has not been manufactured for a long time, but has been reproduced by Gallery Tamura Joe. Sempre is involved in this chair as a manufacturer, and it is given a plate with a serial number.
