Bandsee is made from ethical washi paper bands with roots in the Mizuhiki craft. After four years of research and development, each basket is meticulously handcrafted in a workshop in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture. Inspired by woodblock printing techniques, the unique manufacturing process utilizes molds to achieve high dimensional precision. The molds are created using a laser cutter, leveraging modern manufacturing techniques. The beautifully curved basket is surprisingly light yet flexible and strong. Its warmth is felt in the hand, creating a cozy atmosphere. When used as a pot cover, it fits up to a No. 5 saucer. [2019 Good Design Award Winner] [Usage Precautions] - Do not store wet items.
