ECHINO QUADRO pendant lamp
LAFABLIGHT is made of a 5mm-thick sheet of wood with multiple slits, woven with multiple layers of thin rope. Despite its warm texture and simple structure, it exudes a unique and cool look. Inspired by the Nordic lampshades made in the 1950s and 1960s, which consist of wooden frames wrapped with string, the design was repeatedly prototyped to fit modern spaces while retaining a vintage essence. Made in France, the materials are cut from oak, poplar, beech, and other trees found in forests approximately 200 kilometers west of Paris. Because the construction requires precise tension adjustment, the assembly and weaving are meticulously handcrafted in a furniture workshop in France. The silhouette changes with the light on and off, and the piece also reveals a variety of different expressions depending on the viewing angle. *The thinned wood for the main body is sourced from oak, poplar, and beech, ensuring a stable supply of these materials for environmental considerations.
