CORONADO SOFA corduroy 2.5-seater
This corduroy version of the "CORONADO SOFA" is a comfortable, relaxing sofa inspired by the sofas used in the American resort town of Coronado Peninsula. Inspired by the sofas used in the 1950s at the Coronado Peninsula, this sofa's distinctive feature is its surface treatment, which allows it to gradually develop a unique character with minimal maintenance. The Coronado Sofa's distinctive features include solid oak arms (3.5cm thick, enough for a tabletop), a spacious seat (64cm deep), a low seat height for enhanced relaxation, and comfortable cushions filled with generous amounts of feathers. The cushions are made from a combination of urethane and feathers, providing a comfortable, not-too-soft feel with just the right amount of bounce, and the frame that supports the cushions is equipped with S-springs. The sofa's generous seat depth, low seat height, deep feather cushions, and back cushions that support the neck encourage people to spend long periods of time relaxing on the sofa, rather than hunched over with their shoulders and elbows tensed, and are a reflection of the designer's desire to "enjoy the cheerful atmosphere of California." The upholstery is made from a custom-made fabric with a longer pile and thicker yarn than regular corduroy, and the texture changes with the touch, revealing shadows and changing its appearance. The pattern, with alternating thick and thin ridges, is achieved using a pile-cutting technique called "oyakogiri," making it an extremely rare fabric. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
