The "CORONADO SOFA" is a comfortable, relaxing sofa inspired by the sofas used in the American resort town of Coronado Peninsula. Inspired by the sofas used in the 1950s, this sofa features a surface treatment designed to gradually develop a refined appearance with minimal maintenance. This checked fabric, based on vintage 1980s fabric, evokes a nostalgic atmosphere when paired with the CORONADO SOFA's faded solid oak frame. When upholstered on feather cushions, the large checkered pattern and exquisitely worn color scheme create a soft, warm look. The CORONADO SOFA's distinctive features include its 3.5cm-thick solid oak arms, thick enough to be used as a tabletop, its generous 64cm seat depth, and its low seat height for enhanced relaxation, as well as its generously feathered cushions. The cushions are made from a combination of urethane and feathers, and are not too soft but have just the right amount of bounce to sink in, with S-springs built into the frame that supports the cushions. The generous seat depth, low seat height, deep feather cushions, and back cushions that support the neck all contribute to the sofa's designer's desire to "let you feel the cheerful California atmosphere" by spending long periods of time relaxing on the sofa rather than sitting in a stiff posture.
