The upholstery is custom-made with a thicker yarn count than regular corduroy, resulting in a long pile. The texture changes with touch, revealing shadows and changing its appearance. This alternating pattern of thick and thin ribs is achieved using a pile-cutting technique called "oyakogiri," making it an extremely rare fabric. Enveloping Feathers The seat is made with a double-layered urethane construction and generous amounts of domestically produced feathers. The back cushion is also generously filled with feathers, providing a comfortable, enveloping feel while maintaining just the right firmness to prevent fatigue even when sitting for long periods of time.
