DONUT FESTIVAL POSTER
This poster was printed using vintage wood type and a letterpress machine from A TWO PIPE PROBLEM LETTERPRESS. A TWO PIPE PROBLEM LETTERPRESS is a letterpress studio run by Stephen Kenny. Known for its highly artistic prints, it uses vintage wood type from the 1800s and 1900s and a letterpress machine. It skillfully mixes numerous wood type pieces, including rare alphabets and numbers, from the history of letterpress printing, and is produced with excellent balance, technique, and unique word choice. This "DONUT FESTIVAL" series is a fictionalized version of a London evening paper headline still in print today. "Donuts caused riots." This exceptionally well-balanced design is a unique and contemporary addition to the faded texture and character of letterpress printing. It comes framed in a black wood grain frame.
