Block Lamp Smoke Limited Block Lamp Limited Smoke
The classic lighting fixture, the Block Lamp, designed by Harri Koskinen, has been released in a limited-edition color, "Smoke." The Block Lamp, with its beautiful design that resembles a light bulb trapped in a block of ice, made Finnish designer Harri Koskinen a household name. Designed with the concept of "ensconcing a light bulb in a block of ice," its art-like beauty has earned it numerous design awards. In 2000, it was selected for the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. Each glass block, separated into upper and lower halves, is hand-molten and poured into a mold by artisans using a casting technique. Due to the long cooling process, the lamp is highly durable and resistant to temperature changes. This limited-edition color, "Smoke," features a black smoke-colored glass block. When turned on, the light bulb appears to glow in the dark like a firefly, creating a magical glow. Even when it's off, the gray color blends in seamlessly with modern interiors.
