This classic melamine ashtray, "KULAN," from the German company DURABLE, is a design originally manufactured and sold by Gustavsberg in the 1960s and 1970s, a time when plastics manufacturing was booming in Scandinavia. Named "KULAN" ("ball") in Swedish, this ashtray was designed by Gunnar Larson, husband of renowned ceramic artist Lisa Larsson.
