TSUBAME Copper Mug
This mug is made of pure copper from the "Tsubame" series by GLOCAL STANDARD PRODUCTS, which is produced in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture. Copper is a very suitable material because it has high thermal conductivity, making cold drinks feel very cold. The handle is wrapped in natural rattan. Wrapping the rattan around the handle prevents the coldness from being transmitted when you hold it. Copper and natural rattan change color over time, so the flavor increases with use. On the other hand, copper is soft, so it is prone to scratches and scuffs during use, but if you interpret this as aging, you will grow to love it and it will become more of your own mug. The inside is tin-plated to prevent discoloration, and every detail is carefully crafted.
