The Eames LTR (Low Table Rod) is a small low table that can be used for multiple purposes by Herman Miller. It was released in 1950. It was designed by the Eameses to be used in their own home, inspired by Japanese dining tables. It is well known that the Eameses invited Chaplin and Isamu Noguchi to their home and entertained them with this small table. The stylish form, which combines a plywood top with thin welded wire rod legs, was created when Eames developed a revolutionary technique for molding plywood, and then developed a technology to simultaneously weld and mass-produce wire rods. This innovative technology using wire rods was later applied to the wire base of the shell chair, wire chairs, and storage units. The plywood top is made of 13 layers of birch laminated plywood, and the laminated surface is designed to look beautiful with a 20-degree incline. The top is made of natural ash wood with beautiful grain and aging, and the wire rods for the base and legs are available in chrome and black. This table, created by Eames, is a true representative of mid-century modern design and can be used in a variety of ways, whether used alone, side by side, or stacked. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
