The Eames LTR (Low Table Rod) table is a versatile, small coffee table from Herman Miller. Released in 1950, it was designed by the Eameses for use in their own home, inspired by Japanese dining tables. It's well-known that the Eameses hosted Chaplin and Isamu Noguchi at their home. The stylish form, combining a plywood top with thin, welded wire rod legs, was born when the Eameses developed a groundbreaking plywood molding technique and then developed a mass-production technology for simultaneously welding wire rods. This innovative wire rod technique was later applied to the wire base of the Shell Chair, wire chairs, and storage units. The plywood top is made of 13 layers of birch plywood, with the laminated surface angled at approximately 20 degrees to showcase its beauty. The top is crafted from beautiful walnut veneer, and the base and wire rod legs are available in chrome or black. This table, created by Eames, is a true representative of mid-century modern design and can be used in a variety of ways, whether used alone, side by side, or stacked. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
