Riki Marine Clock
The RIKI MARINE CLOCK is a wall clock designed for interior use in 1979 by Riki Watanabe, who reinterpreted the distinctive marine clock genre with his own unique style. Its dignified presence evokes Riki Watanabe's yearning for the sea, creating a quietly moving presence. This clock, designed for interior use in 1979, is a personal interpretation of the marine clock genre, known for its distinctive ambiance specific to marine use, a genre he has a strong attachment to, having collected several of them. Its refined design skillfully incorporates modern elements into its classic aesthetic, with a dimly lit stainless steel frame that makes the most of its stepped finish, a machined aluminum endpaper, original brass decorative screws, and a chamfered acrylic crystal. The Arabic numerals in the Didoni typeface, which he was particularly particular about, were carefully matched with the frame shape and materials, and the clock was finally achieved through repeated trial and error. This is a version with Arabic numerals and a second hand, reminiscent of a marine clock. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
