The Circle Mirror was born from a collaboration between Landscape Products and Maru Kougei. This simple yet beautiful wall-mounted mirror is handcrafted by Hida-based Maru Kougei. The frame features beautifully grained wood, matched with the glass, for a perfect circular finish. Brass rivets are used at the edges, evoking a Shaker box design. The frame is crafted by steaming thin, finished wood at 92°C and bending it, resulting in a meticulous handcrafted finish. The back of the mirror, showcasing the ideas and technical expertise of both companies, is engraved with each company's respective logos. The beautiful finish, down to the finest detail, is truly captivating. [Masashi Osawa of Maru Kougei] Osawa personally handles everything from sawing logs to crafting his own pieces. He uses a steam-bent wood technique to mold hardwood and secures it with brass nails. The "swallowtail" joints, which are used to prevent the pieces from floating up, are cut out one by one with a small knife.
