This wall clock is part of Landscape Products' Marmoleum series. Linoleum is a natural material known for its use by designers around the world, including Alvar Aalto and Magnus Olesen. This product series highlights the plasticity of Marmoleum, a type of flooring material. Available in a variety of colors, Marmoleum is a material that is particularly noteworthy for its aging process. While researching the possibility of using this material in Landscape Products furniture, I was drawn to its remarkable properties: its plasticity despite being a surface material, allowing it to be gently raised from the floor to the wall or molded into curved surfaces. The Marmoleum used in this piece is a linoleum flooring material, and features a graphic look achieved by adding crushed cocoa bean shells, left over from chocolate manufacturing.
