This is an original tumbler commissioned by ceramic artist Ian MacDonald for Playmountain, a store directly managed by Landscape Products. It took two years of trial and error to arrive at the black glaze. The matte texture of the exterior and the glossy glaze on the interior create a contrast, making it comfortable to hold. Ian MacDonald not only uses clay, but also utilizes different materials to constantly bring new values to his work. He is currently an artist-in-residence at Cranbrook Academy of Art, where he leads the ceramics department and continues to create his own work. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
