This stool combines the different materials of wood and iron, designed by Watanabe Riki, with a simple and beautiful form. It was designed by Watanabe Riki in 1954 as a chair for a house designed by architect Seike Kiyoshi. The structure is reminiscent of Watanabe's signature work, the Torii stool, with a seat made of 20mm thick solid wood and steel rod legs creating a straight and neat form. The angle of the seat, which is designed for comfort, and the handle in the center of the seat for easy carrying, show the attention to detail that went into the design. This masterpiece stool was remanufactured in 2005 after half a century. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
