Persimmon Chair
This innovative chair was unveiled at the Milan Triennale in 1960, based on a chair designed by Junzo Sakakura and incorporating a Japanese-originated racket structure (koma-ikei processing). The venue for the Milan Triennale was designed by the Junzo Sakakura Architectural Institute, and Daisaku Cho, who was a member of the institute at the time, was in charge of the furniture design. The chair's frame uses molded plywood, and the back of the chair, with its organic lines, was inspired by the curves that form when a persimmon is split vertically down the middle. In 2006, Daisaku Cho redesigned the chair and reborn it as a new chair. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
