Persimmon Chair Triennale model/Daisaku Naga
The pinnacle of Japanese modern design, the Persimmon Chair by Daisaku Choh was reissued in 2006. In 1960, Daisaku Choh redesigned this innovative chair, which was presented at the Milan Triennale using Japan's first racket structure (komaire processing). At the Milan Triennale, the exhibition layout was handled by the Junzo Sakakura Architectural Institute, and Daisaku Choh, who was then a staff member of the institute, was in charge of furniture design. The organic lines of the backrest are inspired by the curve of a persimmon fruit cut vertically down the middle. It blends well with Japanese living spaces and is an ideal dining chair. It also pairs perfectly with the Mushroom Base Table, also designed by Daisaku Choh, making it an excellent dining chair. The Triennale model features a two-tone upholstery specification made of a soft and gentle wool-blend material. The color scheme was personally selected by Daisaku Choh, combining NC-128 and NC-121.Source: https://metrocs.jp/
