This is the linoleum top model of the "Eiermann Table 2", a redesign of the universally renowned table designed by Egon Eiermann for his own studio in 1953. Eiermann redesigned the minimalist table he designed for his own studio. Compared to the original model, the inner width of the frame has been widened by 250mm. The diagonal crossbars are now fixed vertically from the floor, making it ideal for use as a dining table, whether placed side-by-side or facing each other. The minimalist design concept of simply placing a tabletop on a steel frame, free of unnecessary ornamentation, remains unchanged, allowing for a wider range of uses than ever before. In 1995, Richard Lampert acquired the manufacturing rights for this table and redesigned it to be more user-friendly. With Eiermann's attention to detail evident throughout, this table is a timeless masterpiece unrivaled by other products. Features of the linoleum top Linoleum is a coating made from natural materials, including plants. While there are disadvantages such as water rings forming if a wet glass is left on it, and it is more susceptible to scratches compared to melamine tops, it is a material that allows you to enjoy "aging" as scratches accumulate over time, giving it a deeper character. Items with noticeable scratches or stains are strictly judged during inspection in Japan. Please note that minor scratches are not considered defects.Source:https://metrocs.jp/
