Form Group Sofa 3-seater
The "Form Group" seating system, designed in 1960 by British designer Robin Day, has been reissued under the supervision of the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation. This is a masterpiece sofa by Robin Day, who was active during the British Mid-Century period. It is designed to offer a variety of configurations by flexibly combining a steel frame with cushion forms and tables, allowing you to choose specifications that suit your lifestyle. It is one of Robin Day's代表作 (masterpieces), having received the Design Centre Award in 1961. Instead of the traditional sofa manufacturing method using wood and springs, it adopts a structure where the seat cushions are supported by rubber webbing tape. The use of webbing tape, originally used for the internal structure of sofas, on the surface and elevated as part of the design was considered highly innovative at the time of its announcement. The three-seater arm sofa is suitable for spacious areas. With a seat width of approximately 210cm, you can lie down or relax comfortably with multiple people. Additionally, the moderate firmness and elasticity firmly support the body, reducing unnecessary strain on the lower back and making it easy to stand up as the body does not sink in too deeply. The sophisticated design, while having its own unique character, creates a modern and high-quality space.Source: https://metrocs.jp/
