Curl Pendant Lamp S
The Curl Pendant Lamp is an enamel lamp depicting the Japanese landscape. It is an enamel lamp made using the "spatula-drawing" technique. Its gently curving shape, with the inside and outside gently inverted, was achieved by enlarging the rim, a process typically used on enamelware to reinforce and prevent distortion. The shape is inspired by the roofs of shrines and temples, which have shaped the Japanese landscape since ancient times. "Curl" uses the same majestic curves as the roofs of shrines. The shade is crafted using the ultimate "spatula-drawing" technique, in which a rotating metal plate is pressed against it with a spatula to gradually deform it. Working with enamel artisans, we explored the shape and thickness of the curled "base" that can be achieved without the need for a rim-drawing process. The design is by Shuhei Shibayama. The white version comes with a white cord, while the charcoal gray version comes with a black cord. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
