BANKERS Wall Clock Φ16cm
This wall clock, produced by Rosendahl, is a faithful reproduction of the "Bankers Clock," a masterpiece designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1971 for the Danish National Bank, considered his greatest work. Arne Jacobsen, one of Denmark's leading architects of the 20th century, worked on everything from architecture to interior design. His philosophy was based on minimalism, believing that forms stripped down to the bare minimum were the most beautiful and functional. The "Bankers Clock" is a prime example of this, prioritizing legibility and incorporating a graphic design that expresses the "constant flow of time." The clock consists of 12 squares, each of which appears as a bar, with one section filled in black. The position of the filled square represents a specific hour, while the overall design resembles a vortex, creating a spiral of the "constant flow of time." Additionally, the red color at the center of the dial, a symbol of the "BANKERS CLOCK," faithfully reproduces the original color, adding an accent that enhances the charm of the Bankers Clock. The crystal glass on the surface is beautifully curved, and the dial, which is curved in the opposite direction to the crystal glass and meets it smoothly without any side walls, creates a beautiful finish that does not feel thick, and is an impeccable masterpiece worthy of being called a masterpiece. Another feature is that the main body is raised a few centimeters from the wall, casting soft shadows on the wall and creating an exquisite three-dimensional effect. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
