Roman Wall Clock Φ16cm
This wall clock, produced by Rosendahl, is a faithful reproduction of Arne Jacobsen's "Roman Clock," a masterpiece created when he designed Aarhus City Hall in 1941. Arne Jacobsen, one of Denmark's leading architects and designers, was known for his minimalist approach, believing that a minimalist design, stripped to the bare essentials, was both beautiful and functional. The indices are drawn directly onto the dial, which is integrated with the case, creating a unique three-dimensional effect. The curvature of the glass is also faithfully reproduced. Aarhus City Hall is a building where a commitment to total design perfectionism began to take shape, with the interior design encompassing not only the furniture and lighting, but also the ashtrays and doorknobs. The beautifully curved glass crystal and the inversely curved dial, which blends seamlessly with the glass crystal without any side walls, create a design that feels thin and flawless, making it a truly masterpiece. The main body of the lamp is suspended a few centimetres from the wall, which casts soft shadows on the wall and creates an exquisite three-dimensional effect. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
