Tools of Coventry British Military Folding Chair MOD Olive
This long-awaited reproduction of the British military folding chair, commonly known as the "Rover Chair," is produced by Tools of Coventry, a British company with a proven track record of supplying the British military. This folding chair, nicknamed the "Rover Chair" for its original role as a passenger seat in the British military's Land Rover Wolf truck, has become extremely popular in the vintage market in recent years. Due to its popularity, various manufacturers have produced reproductions of the chair, but now full-scale production has begun at the factory that originally supplied the British military. Tools of Coventry, a long-established manufacturer founded in Coventry, England in 1939, began producing folding chairs (Rover Chairs) for the MOD (British Ministry of Defence) in the 1970s. It retains its original lightweight aluminum frame, and the canvas seat is made of waxed cotton from Halley Stevenson's, a prestigious fabric manufacturer founded in Scotland in 1864. The chair's naturally horizontal seat will gradually expand and contract with use, improving comfort. Weighing approximately 2.9 kg, it folds compactly, making it easy to carry both indoors and outdoors. It's ideal for dining, desk use, and even outdoor activities. This is the closest new Rover chair currently available, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new chair. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
