This sponge's exceptionally absorbent properties allow it to scrub away even grease with just water. This commercial-grade sponge boasts incredible cleaning power, even removing grease with just water. Now, it's available for home use. This sponge has proven its worth in a variety of food-handling environments, including food processing tanks where detergents cannot be used and restaurants where oil is used heavily. It's perfect for cleaning dishes and cookware, as well as stubborn burnt-on pans, limescale on sinks, and bathtubs with residual detergent and lingering odors. For stubborn grease stains, using hot water above 50°C (the melting point of oil) makes removal even easier. The sponge's greatest feature is its exceptional absorbency and frictional properties, achieved by simply wetting it with water. This special synthetic rubber is a balanced blend of two different rubbers: general-purpose rubber latex with high oil absorption and polar polymer latex with moderate adhesiveness. By soaking the sponge in liquefied special synthetic rubber and allowing it to dry and harden, the fibers adhere to each other, resulting in a sponge that is resistant to fraying and breakage. This has led to its use in harsh environments where it is washed multiple times a day. It is manufactured by Nachihama Co., Ltd., the only company in the world that can produce this special synthetic rubber and continues to develop products utilizing this technology. This results in a sponge that is exceptionally durable and easy to clean. While the fabric is highly abrasion-resistant, it is made of 100% cotton to allow the special synthetic rubber to soak in well. Rubbing too forcefully may cause the mesh to get caught, depending on the shape of the object, and cause fraying. Please be aware that cutting the surface fibers with a sharp object can cause the fabric to fray all at once. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
