This is the "Y Glass" designed in 1966 by the world-renowned Japanese designer Sori Yanagi. Hirota Glass has reproduced the glass designed by Sori Yanagi in 1966. The rows of grains (protrusions) serve as a non-slip surface and are also a feature of the design. The grains, like water droplets, are arranged modestly, giving it a clean and modern impression. It goes well with anything. It is moderately thick and easy to hold, and its shape is easy for children to use. There are three colors, and any combination gives a calm impression while still giving you a light color that is characteristic of glass. Clear can be combined with blue to create a refreshing coordination, or it is recommended for white dishes and monochrome coordination. Amber is a color that brings out the impression of mid-century design. It is a warm yet chic color that blends in with interiors that make use of the color of the material. Blue is a fresh color that highlights the grain design, and is recommended for matching with Nordic design glass and tableware. It is a transparent blue that matches the colors often used in modern table coordination such as yellow and gray. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
