It was Lars Werner's father, the current owner, who began producing the "Shoemaker Chair" in the early 1970s. The history of this three-legged stool dates back to the 15th century. Over the centuries, its shape changed only slightly, and it was used as a flat-seated milking stool. Eventually, shoemakers began carving the seats to fit the shape of their bottoms for greater comfort, and this inspired the chair's current form. The seat is shaped to fit the human bottom, making it comfortable even after long periods of sitting, and its three legs ensure stability.Source: https://www.truss.jp/
