This work is made using techniques from a wood wheel. It uses wood used for lacquered tea bowls and other vessels. The original form of the vessel, the "turned object," is carved out of a block of wood rotating on a wood wheel using chisels and other tools. MOCORO is made up of nine softly curved pieces, and the light that leaks through the gaps between them creates a soft line of light on the wall.
