Spinning Pendant BH1 Pendant Light
Benjamin Hubert designed this light, inspired by his favorite childhood toy. As the word "spinning" suggests, the manufacturing process uses a "top" as a motif. The shade is formed from a single sheet of aluminum. The metal plate is turned on a lathe that rotates at high speed like a top to transform it into a three-dimensional shade, creating a functional lighting fixture. The soft curves of the shade do not make a strong statement in itself, but they have a presence that adds an elegant accent to any space. In the case of multiple lights, the bottom edges of the shades can be aligned or hung randomly to create a variety of expressions, embodying a beautiful balance of functionality despite the simple design.
