SEN Hokore-P Pride Pendant Lamp
"HOKORE PENTDANT" is a modern pendant lamp by lighting artist Toshiyuki Tani, incorporating traditional craftsmanship. It uses the Suruga Bamboo Senjiki technique. Thin, rounded bamboo strips are bent gracefully and woven into a bamboo ring. Its exquisitely detailed and delicate appearance is captivating, making you lose track of time. The concept for "Hokore, Pride" was completed at the same time as the previous work, "Sen." This piece expresses Tani's greatest pride in the power of flowers, a motif he has used in his other works, and the strength it takes for a bud to blossom. It is reminiscent of traditional crafts that require years of production and refined techniques, and Tani believes that this design is something to be proud of and shared with the world. This piece, imbued with such emotion and embracing his previous challenges, is a work of which he is truly proud. (The amount of bamboo strips used in its creation is approximately three times that of Sen.) Like his other works, the piece offers beautiful play of light and shadow. The excellent design can be matched with both Japanese and Western styles, and the light and shadow will transform your room into a different world. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
