RON pendant lamp
This lighting fixture expresses delicate Japanese aesthetics by combining the craftsmanship of Mito, one of Japan's three major lantern-producing regions, with the artisanal skills of Suruga Bamboo Senjiki Zaiku, a craft that creates insect cages and other items. Crafted from washi paper, the lantern can be used either upside down or upside down. Mito is one of Japan's three major lantern-producing regions. The surface is treated to resist water and dirt, and the strips are made from environmentally friendly materials, including PET resin and starch paste. While bamboo and wire are typically used for the strips, these strips are wrapped in thin washi paper to create texture and reduce shadows cast by the strips themselves. The narrow spacing between each strip expresses delicacy. Suruga Bamboo Senjiki Zaiku, a craft that creates insect cages and other items, is characterized by a technique in which thin, rounded bamboo strips are flexibly bent and then assembled into bamboo rings. This piece omits the thrill of the bending process and instead expresses softness through a straight, linear weaving technique. In addition to the warmth of the round strips, the color will change to a dignified, wabi-sabi style unique to bamboo as you use it. Source: https://www.truss.jp/
